Terms of sale

These terms apply when you buy a domain name from UK Internet Sites Ltd, registered in Scotland No. SC210739.

The listing

A listing is an invitation to treat. A contract is formed only when we confirm the sale in writing.

Price and VAT

Prices shown as an amount plus VAT are exclusive of VAT. VAT is added at the rate in force. The figure including VAT is shown underneath for convenience.

Payment

We confirm the payment method when a sale is agreed. Card checkout is not yet available on this site. Where the price is at or above the published escrow threshold, the sale can complete through an escrow service. The buyer pays the escrow fee unless we agree in writing to split it.

Transfer

Names ending in .uk are transferred by a Nominet registrar-tag change or a push to another account at the same registrar. There is no auth code. Other extensions are transferred with an auth code to your registrar, which usually takes five to seven days, or by a push inside the same registrar. A registry may lock a name for about 60 days after a recent registration or transfer. We start the transfer after payment has cleared, and registrant details are updated after that.

Renewals

You take on renewal fees after the transfer. If a renewal falls due before completion, we will tell you.

What is included

You receive the domain name only, unless we agree something else in writing. Website content, mailboxes, trade marks and any business are not included.

Your own checks

You are responsible for checking that you may use the name, including trade marks and registry rules.

Refunds

If we cannot transfer the name, we refund the price you paid us. We do not refund fees you pay to your own registrar.

Liability

Our liability is limited to the price you paid us for the name, except where the law does not allow that limit.

Law

Scots law governs these terms.
