Questions
Frequently asked questions
How does a .uk transfer work?
You give us the IPS tag of the registrar that will receive the name. After payment clears we change the tag, which is usually the same day. There is no auth code.
How does a .com, .net or .org transfer work?
We send an auth code to your registrar after payment clears. That usually takes five to seven days. A recent registration or transfer can mean a registry lock of about 60 days. A push inside the same registrar is sometimes possible.
When do I pay?
Card checkout is not switched on yet. We agree the price by email and confirm how payment will be taken. Above the escrow threshold we can use an escrow service, and the buyer pays that fee unless we agree to split it.
Is VAT included?
UK Internet Sites shows the price plus VAT, with the price including VAT underneath. Leonico is not VAT registered, so its prices have no VAT line.
What is included?
The domain name only, unless we agree something else in writing. Websites, mailboxes and trade marks are not included. You take on renewals after the transfer.
Can I have a refund?
If we cannot transfer the name, we refund the price you paid us. Fees charged by your own registrar are not refunded.
