Cookies Policy
How ukisdomains.com uses cookies and similar technologies, and how to change your settings.
Last updated 19 October 2026.
This policy explains how ukisdomains.com uses cookies and similar technologies. UK Internet Sites Ltd runs the site. Domain names on it are sold by UK Internet Sites Ltd or Leonico Ltd, and each listing names the seller. Our Privacy Statement explains how we handle the details you send us.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. It lets the site remember something between pages or visits, such as that you are signed in. Similar technologies work in much the same way. These include your browser's local storage and small one-time security tokens. In this policy, "cookies" covers all of them.
Some cookies are set by the website you are visiting (first-party cookies). Others are set by another company whose service the site uses (third-party cookies).
How we use them
We group cookies into four categories:
- Strictly necessary. Needed for the site to work, to keep it secure and to remember your cookie choices. The law allows these without consent. You can block them in your browser, but parts of the site may then stop working.
- Preferences. Remember choices you make, such as hiding the cookie settings icon.
- Analytics. Help a site owner understand how visitors use a site. We do not currently use analytics cookies. Page counts on this site are worked out on our server and do not use a cookie.
- Marketing. Used to show or measure advertising. We do not use marketing cookies.
If we decide to use analytics or marketing cookies, we will update this policy first. Those cookies will only be set after you agree to them in Cookie Settings, and you can change your mind at any time.
The cookies we use
This table lists what is in use now and what we plan to use shortly.
| Name | Provider | Category | Purpose | Type and duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
UKDSESSID |
ukisdomains.com (first party) | Strictly necessary | Keeps our staff signed in to the admin area. It is only set on admin pages (path /admin), so visitors to the public site do not receive it. It is HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite=Strict. |
Cookie. Lasts for the browser session and is deleted when the browser closes. The sign-in also ends after 30 minutes of inactivity. |
stcm.ukisdomains_com.hasConsented, stcm.ukisdomains_com.consentedAt, stcm.ukisdomains_com.consent.necessary, .functional, .analytics, .marketing |
Cookie Options (cdn.cookieoptions.com), our consent tool | Strictly necessary | Remembers whether you have made a cookie choice, when you made it, and what you chose for each category. | Browser local storage, not a cookie. It stays until you clear your browser data. We ask you again after about six months (182 days). |
co_consent_last_log_ukisdomains_com |
Cookie Options | Strictly necessary | Records which choice was last logged, so the same consent choice is not logged twice. | Browser local storage, not a cookie. It stays until you clear your browser data. |
stcm.ukisdomains_com.iconDismissed |
Cookie Options | Preferences | Remembers that you hid the floating cookie settings icon. The Cookie Settings link still works. | Browser local storage. It stays until you clear your browser data. |
Cloudflare Turnstile token (cf-turnstile-response) |
Cloudflare, Inc. (challenges.cloudflare.com) | Strictly necessary | A security check on our contact form that stops spam and automated messages. It is being switched on shortly. By default Turnstile does not set a cookie on ukisdomains.com. It creates a one-time token that is sent with the form, and our server checks it with Cloudflare. The check runs in a frame from challenges.cloudflare.com, where Cloudflare may use its own short-lived cookies or storage to run the check and spot problems. We do not use Cloudflare's optional cf_clearance pre-clearance cookie. This site is not served through Cloudflare's network, so the __cf_bm bot cookie is not used. |
One-time token, valid for up to 5 minutes and used once. |
Third parties
- Cookie Options runs the cookie banner and Cookie Settings window. It loads from cdn.cookieoptions.com. It keeps an anonymised record of consent choices so that we can show consent was given.
- Cloudflare provides the Turnstile security check on forms. Cloudflare says Turnstile uses technical signals, such as IP address and browser details, only to tell people from bots, and not for advertising. See Cloudflare's Turnstile privacy policy.
We do not use advertising networks, social media plug-ins or tracking pixels.
Changing your settings
You can change or withdraw your choices at any time using Cookie Settings. The link is also in the footer of every page.
Most browsers also let you see, block and delete cookies and stored site data. Look under privacy or site data in your browser's settings. Clearing site data for ukisdomains.com also clears your stored cookie choices, and we will ask you again. Help pages for common browsers:
How long cookies last
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Other cookies and stored data last for the time shown in the table, or until you delete them. Local storage has no set end date, so it stays until you clear it. We keep each item for no longer than its purpose needs.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when we change the cookies we use, for example when we switch on a new security check or payment service. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change needs your consent, we will ask again through the cookie banner.
